Earth Mother

There is our Earth Mother, watching us from above. She is worried about our wellbeing. She is watching and waiting. Wondering if we really believe. "Forget me not", she tells her children. "Do not let me be forgotten." But we have forgotten. She is of course, only a symbol. The tree of life. She made us who we are, she made us bear pain, and fruit. We must now work for what we want. We must harvest the grain with the tides. But she is there waiting and watching. Wondering still. Shall we not forget the goodness she has given. Her hair is the roots of all trees. Her eyes are the waters of all oceans. Her lips kiss the sky as her skin in the sun. Shining and welcoming us as we wake up. But do we forget who created her? Who made her into being? No we must never forget our true roots. We were born of the sand and the rib. We must never forget our true creator that makes things like the earth for us to enjoy.
